Having Fun

Well busy making all the preparations for the weekend that Leanne, Rosalie, Viv & Gail are coning. Only 12 days I think till they arrive. I have been making up the goody bags. 40 bags, well it has been fun.

I'm really looking forwards to the weekend. The ladies that come are just wonderful and it takes me about two weeks to get every thing back to normal but it is so worth it.

                             005

Tiffany was helping me but I think the boy friend just rocked up and she has gone. Well looks like it up to me. I love doing it any way.

Tiffany has taken up a new hobby with her new boy friend and that hobby seams to be taking up space in my shop office.

                        007_2

Yes it is a BMX bike. Tiff is really enjoying it but we have had some much needed rain here so the bike has had a break during the holidays so far.

Mark is out at the old homestead at Pyap. This is where we where living. We had it up for sale but it didn't sell so we are now going to turn it into a Bed & Breakfast. We are having so much fun getting it ready. Mark and myself have brought some great furniture and that will start to arrive next week. Mark is out sanding the kitchen floor so it looks really nice. We had to get a new bath it came about tree weeks ago and sat in the shop for about a week. We got some really interesting comments about it.

                  221

The bath is now out at the house. My shop class room is being taken over by furniture but that will all have to go before the weekend when all the ladies come.

                     006

Well I will keep you posted out the B&B. Just another thing to keep us busy but we both love it.

Well better get back to finishing of the goody bags.

Till next time

What a week

I'm sorry it had taken me along time to do another post. This past week is one that only myself and mark would love to start again but so would our very good friends would wish this last week never happened. All I can say at this time is our girls had a great job and they now don't work there any more.  It is so sad. You trust people but well what can I say.

Now onto some good things. I had a UFO weekend with 14 ladies. Ten from Adelaide and four local ladies and it was great. They where all wonderful and we had lots of fun. It was just what the doctor ordered. Lots of project where finished.

                            007_2

                       004

This quilt had done alot of traveling but it went home finished which was wonderful.

We had lots of fun and good food and we all eat to much, well I did. The food did still  taste good I hope ladies as Mark and myself went through 2 bottles of wine making it after our news on the Friday night. I thank-you all for coming.

I will be holding another UFO weekend in October.

Well hope you all have a great day and happy quilting till next time

What a week

Well this week has been busy with lots of family matters and the shop so I'm not bored at all. It all started last weekend when Tiffany went to the new skate park in Loxton. She a great time but ended up falling off Luke's BMX bike. Luke is the new boy friend, who by the way is very nice. Mark has started to work two nights a week at the Loxton Hotel as a chief and our son John applyed for a position at Channel 10 in Adelaide and he has won him self a interview on Thursday which is great. So you see we are having lots of fun at home which I love.

Well to the shop. I have done some more work on my BOM and here atre just some of the blocks for you to see.

At Last

Well this post is very different today. For over 10 months I have been working very hard to get approval for us to develop a block we own in Loxton. The council has been very hard to work with but Monday last week we Finlay made it and by Christmas we should have two very nice four room villas on our block to rent out.

On this block was a old house which we have pulled down. All that is standing is the fire place and when we brought this block there was a big tiger left in the house.

                     002

My wonderful husband Mark works for the Drake boys who are very well known in Loxton and love to have fun. So on Tuesday night they went and had fun with Mr Tiger who had been placed in a chair by Mark on the block. This is know where Mr Tiger is living. The boys tried to put him on the top but Mr Tiger didn't want to stay there. I don't blame him. So this is where he is sitting at the moment.

Sean and Damian well done boys love it.

Have a beer on me boys. We live in a great country town where you can have lots of fun as you can see.

Till next time

We also had a intruder as in Julies husband but Julie put Chris to work cutting her squares to the right size.

                      011

Chris did really well Julie was very worried for a start but Lorraine took him under her wing and Chris was fine. Chris also brought in wine for our lunch so we had to let him stay.

Well better get back to work
